Faridipur is a small village situated in Tikri Khurd Panchayat which comes under Malihabad Block in Lucknow District Uttar Pradesh. It is located 9km towards west from district head-quarters Lucknow. The main road near the city is pakki road but the road which leads inside is in its worst condition. The conveyance is very difficult. The situation of electricity is not good and drinking water is the main concern of the village.

Abhinav Singh lives in Faridipur with his small family. His father Lala Ram is a gas cylinder delivery man and works on a daily basis. Sometimes he doesn’t get the delivery orders also. His mother Pushpa Devi is a literate housewife and has studied till intermediate. He has a younger sibling Avika who is 14yrs and studies in 7 the class of the same school. His mother takes care of the house and two kids nicely. She makes delicious food. She helps them in their studies and makes them do their homework. His father Lala Ram goes to work every morning and works hard for a living. He is close to both his kids and scolds them whenever needed. Their house is very small with two rooms. They have a small well at their house which they use for their day-to-day work. Sometimes the water level decreases when there is less rainfall. That time is very difficult as her mother has to go far away to get water. Due to poor electricity both the kids have difficulty in studies at night. Abhinav’s sister helps her mother with household work and Abhinav also sometimes. Both the kids are very sincere and respectful towards their parents. Abhinav likes mangoes a lot. Whenever there is summer season he and his friends like to climb trees and eat mangoes. Many times they were caught while eating mangoes and they had to run away.

In today’s world where we cannot imagine ourselves without any electrical gadgets like AC, television, geysers etc. they live a happy life with all the difficulties and yet have no complaints about life. Abhinav Singh is a 16yr old boy student of 8 the standard and studies in PS & UPS
Faridipur School. Both brother and sister study in the same school. Abhinav is a good student but science was not his cup of tea. He had a lot of difficulties understanding science. But he is very keen nature to know all the possible ways to understand scientific concepts given in the book. He could not make any projects or models based on science which made him feel a little low in class. One day he wanted to know about some topics for his science subject but he was unable to it. The teacher gave him her laptop in the last half an hour of school premises and taught him how to use it and do the browsing.

When ALIG’s team reached the school with their Digital Literacy program, he can search his topics from google and YouTube along with other students in his class. Under the proper guidance, he learned how to use a laptop. Many topics from his books he picked up and watched videos and read the articles. After a few days, Abhinav made a Science model on ‘Motor Boat’. This was the first Science model in the school. Along with this he learned and explained the model very well and presented it to their classmates and juniors. This way he motivated other students also and now he is helping his classmates in learning through a laptop. During Lockdown ALIG provided a three months course in Coding and Animation with the help of the “Coded mind group”. After completing this course,

Abhinav made games – Ice-cream remix and Piano buzz, through animation. Now he is also providing coding and animation classes to other students.
Digital Literacy and Eco Club provide a platform to teach students in appropriate ways to interpret the constant influx of information. It opens the door to gaining knowledge in different areas and a variety of options according to your need. It helps students to understand the topics related to their subject. Our team make sure that all the students perform up to the mark.
