About the campaign

We come across to know every year that thousands of people die due to severe cold, but we see that they die due to lack of woollen clothes and blankets.

Downtrodden and homeless people are forced to sleep on rags at footpaths alongside roads and at times meet to shivering death. Such loss of human life is preventable by simply providing blankets and warm clothes to them.

We have taken the initiative to run a blanket distribution drive in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. In this regard, we are looking for your support. Your support will not only minimize their vulnerability but also provide them with the right to life with dignity.

Program description

Children are amongst the most vulnerable in any calamity and the COVID-19 outbreak has exposed them to untold hardships. Job losses and the continued lockdown has brought scores of families on brink of starvation. We as a policy reached out to more than 12000 families of these school children and supported them with dry Ration Kits with support from Reliance Foundation, AEEF, Dallas, and individuals

Beneficiary details

The beneficiary of the blanket would be a student and their families. As we all know around 70% of children go to a Government school and the majority belong to the underprivileged section of society.

What the sponsor receives

Once we have received your support, we will send you by email a detailed program document having all the information about the student who has received the blanket. All donations made to ALIG are eligible for a tax deduction of 50% under section 80G of the Indian income tax act, 1961.
